I read an article about Iaconelli patterning mayflies. From talking to a lot of pros, it's hard to know who did things first, as opposed to who invented them. Mike talks about the oil trick on crankbaits, but I've heard him in another video credit Terry Scroggins for it. Another example, I saw dudes fishing a thing they called a "spreader rig" (usually 2 big swimbaits) well before an Alabama rig. Martens is certainly an "observer", and he certainly likes to perfect things. I wish I remember which of our videos Martens talks about the Gilly rig, I think it's probably this one https://bassu.tv/bass-fishing-video/rhino-head-dropshot-finesse-fishing-martens where he credits a friend for this rigging method.

Ike is certainly a good choice
If nothing else his background from what I learned... In other words the type of finiky fisheries.
Kinda like Bill Lowen Scenarios.
