What's the Best Christmas Gift for a Bass Fisherman?

Got a buddy that...like me...has been fishing for years. He pretty much buys what he needs, so you can imagine that he picked out the rods, reels and usual fishing stuff he likes already. It's the ol' "what do you get for the angler who has everything?" situation. I'm hoping that someone has suggestions on what else you can get a bass fisherman, maybe something he doesn't know about, but not something that just winds up in the bottom of the tackle box like helicopter lures. Any ideas for the perfect Christmas present for the fisherman who's got it all will be appreciated.

Obviously, our recommendation for a great Christmas gift for a fishing buddy that already has everything would be a bass university tv gift card, if they don't also already have that. We've got them marked down for the holidays, so it's a great price with a lot of bang for your buck. https://bassu.tv/gift-card
Here are some other great gifts to get for someone who loves bass fishing:

Good pliers - https://click.linksynergy.com/deeplink?id=c1UQEdGla5o&mid=38416&murl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tackledirect.com%2Frapala-resp67-7in-elite-pliers.html (I was gifted these Gerber pliers https://click.linksynergy.com/deeplink?id=c1UQEdGla5o&mid=38416&murl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tackledirect.com%2Fgerber-31-003556-magniplier-saltwater-pliers.html which have similar features), but you can get the Rapala Elite pliers with your Rapala discount for being a BU member. I would never have bought these for myself, but they are great to have. Most guys just grab some pliers from the toolbox, but there's a world of difference between $5 Harbor Freight pliers and actual fishing pliers. Another reason these make a great gift, when I get something I can use, I also like it to last forever and work well. These seem to be build to last.

Sun Protection makes a great gift - https://click.linksynergy.com/deeplink?id=c1UQEdGla5o&mid=38416&murl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tackledirect.com%2Fsimms-superlight-sunshield.html
When I was young, I didn't think much about skin cancer. We'd fish all day with no shirt and maybe put on sunscreen once. Now, as an adult with a family, I like to take a little more precaution, but don't like lotioning up 4 times a day. I like these hats with a flap because I can protect my ears and neck (and most of the time my nose and cheeks), even if I forget to reapply sunscreen. This was originally a gift for my wife, but I inherited it when she started wearing the face shields (which also make a great gift https://click.linksynergy.com/deeplink?id=c1UQEdGla5o&mid=38416&murl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tackledirect.com%2Ftackledirect-uv-shield-neck-gaiters.html )

I love all the ideas, Jason. I strongly recommend the fishing plyers from Rapala too. This is my go-to scale from Rapala. I've been caught too many times without a scale and landed a big fish. This scale is small and can fit anywhere, even a bank angling bag.

Christmas is upon us again, and for friends and relatives of bass fishing enthusiasts, it's time to again to hunt for the perfect Christmas gift for the fisherman or fisherwoman in your life. Here are some updated suggestions for 2022:

Fishing Rod Rack - lots of anglers buy gear and storing it is an afterthought. Organization makes preparing for a fishing trip much easier and more enjoyable. If your fishing buddy has floor space, the round floor rack is a great option https://click.linksynergy.com/deeplink?id=c1UQEdGla5o&mid=38416&murl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tackledirect.com%2Frush-creek-creations-24-rod-storage-floor-racks-with-extension-post.html otherwise, a wall/ceiling mount rod rack is a great choice https://click.linksynergy.com/deeplink?id=c1UQEdGla5o&mid=38416&murl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tackledirect.com%2Frush-creek-creations-40-0005-3-in-1-aluminum-10-rod-wall-ceiling-storage-rack.html

Does your friend have a boat? Another often overlooked item is boat care products. Wash & wax makes a great Christmas gift for an angler that likes to keep their bass boat looking new https://click.linksynergy.com/deeplink?id=c1UQEdGla5o&mid=38416&murl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tackledirect.com%2Fstar-brite-premium-cleaner-wax.html

Around the holidays is a great time to do a little house (or reel) cleaning. Ardent has a reel cleaning kit that makes a great Christmas gift and has everything a bass fisherman needs to keep their fishing reels in optimum working order https://click.linksynergy.com/deeplink?id=c1UQEdGla5o&mid=38416&murl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tackledirect.com%2Fardent-reel-kleen-cleaning-kit.html

How about buying him a fishing license? Or an annual pass for a lake or state recreation area. All of us fisherman have our favorite gear and tactics that can be hard for others to figure out. And as you say, many of us are already loaded up on all of that....but we all need a fishing license. And if you're launching a boat, we all paying launch fees. That could be a gift that used countless times per year.
