Transom saver or nah

Should one use the old school transom saver style or something like the dd26 when trailering the boat across country? There are so many different opinions on this subject I have the dd26 style. Thanks god bless

i've used a motormate since they came out, both on my 20 year old Nitro as well as my Ranger and have never had a single issue with it, and that is on Louisiana roads (like a 3rd world country road) so that is saying something. i put a lot of miles a year on my boat/trailer some trips over 500 miles one way
