Best Spinning Reels
What’s the best spinning reel options for $100 or less? Finesse applications
Daiwa Fuego LT is the best bang for your buck spinning reel
I would HIGHLY recommend checking out the Lews Speed Spin (59.99) if you want to save some money. However, I would second the Daiwa Fuego as it has a higher line capacity and lighter weight compared to the lews.
These are great recommendations. I also have a few seasons of experience with a quality reel with a good price point, the Pflueger President.
The fuego and speed spin are probably better if you want the 6.2:1 gear ratio options. This speed spin has several spool sizes available at 6.2:1

I can only recommend what ive exclusively used for years and keep buying the new ones also….: shimano stradic. And stradic c14. Never got around to trying others. Lews sounds good i have tried it in stores.
I recently took a chance on the Daiwa Regal RGLT2500D-XH. I was replacing a 2005ish Daiwa Laguna, which had served me well, and I saw that, in the Regal 2500 size (my favorite size), there was a high speed 6.2:1 ratio. I haven't gotten to try it out yet, but the specs are way above the $60 price point, I hope it lasts me 16 years like the Laguna. https://click.linksynergy.com/deeplink?id=c1UQEdGla5o&mid=38416&murl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tackledirect.com%2Fdaiwa-regal-lt-spinning-reel.html
I am a huge fan of Shimano, But I do own on of the Lew's mentioned above and it is nice and affordable
Lew's TLC4000. Priced right around $100 ($104 on Amazon).
The Lews Speed Spinn mentioned above are really a good value. These are a notch above.

Brandon Cobb has stated that the Revo X is his favorite spinning reel. Coming from a guy that fishes $400 Revo MGX baitcasting tackle, it's saying something that the $105 Revo X is Brandon's favorite spinning reel. I've not fished one, but have looked at them closely and considered getting one, as the specs look pretty good for a spinning reel around $100. https://click.linksynergy.com/deeplink?id=c1UQEdGla5o&mid=38416&murl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.tackledirect.com%2Fabu-garcia-revo-x-spinning-reels.html
