My best was just over 5 pounds on a Lucky Craft 1.5 in BEGill on a point in my kayak, medium BassPro Johnny Morris Rod, Johnny Morris signature reel in a 6:4:1 and 14 pound Sufix Elite Mono.

$8.99 for 330 yards of Sufix Elite, still use it, I get ribbed in classes for it, but it catches fish. Would I catch more with Invix or some of the other great flouros out there? I am sure I would but for the price and the amount I use, I am happy with it. How many Classics to Rick Clunn win on Mono ? Probably 3 and maybe all four. Davy Hite won on Big Game. $19.99 for 200 yards just is not worth it for me. Now if I was a fishing bigger tournaments and things like that I may switch a few reels out, but as a whole I will stick to my red label Sufix.

May not always catch the biggest but that 1/8th jighead on a Keitech or Bass Pro brand fat swimbait and just gently reel across the bottom sure gets me bites. It is a slow technique , but the video of Jeff Kriet doing it on here is outstanding.

Maybe a guy that is known good at a certain seasonal pattern. So bring in by skype a noted Shallow Water guy like say a Jason Christie, when most of the fish move out maybe skype in a noted offshore guy like KVD or Mark Davis. When topwater comes around, a noted topwater guy.
