how much pressure creates pressured bass? E.G. I fish on a 150 acre lake with a robust bass/crappie population. There are 70 lots, about 20 of which actually fish, so maybe 10 boats a week or 30 hours of fish, much less in the summer/winter.

Find the nastiest spots that nobody throws to. I fish on a relatively highly pressured lake. When the guys who fish it regularly get skunked or catch five or so, I regularly pull out 10-15+ by finding the underwater spots that are unmarked (we have buoys etc for the bigger brush piles) or finding the nastiest trees/laydowns and fish deep into them, often catching those bigger fish that haven't been hammered quite as much. I also differentiate my baits - silent crankbaits, dip my soft plastics in different dyes,, pull legs off frogs, etc. I will also fish full moon nights and wait for the new moon to fish during the day in summer. This year my new trick is to use an underwater blue tooth speaker tuned to shad sounds to hit suspended, inactive fish (I found a cheap option on amazon) Hope that helps.

Anyone else tried this? I wasn't expecting much when I downloaded this to try it out, but I've found it to be pretty helpful in sorting out weather/solunar data. It doesn't replace planning but definitely gives you a head start. https://www.bassforecast.com/.

My daughter likes to go fishing with me. Our lake is relatively clear water, so you we can't be right on top of the bass. She's still learning to use a baitcaster, and it is going to take some time.

I have her on a spinning rod sized appropriately to her with 8lb mono and one with flouro. I really think she'd benefit from some extra casting distance.

She's 11 - anyone have some tips to help her improve her casting distance - different setup/drills, etc? I've considered switching her over to crappie fishing till she gets a bit older (ample populations of both where we fish).
