Tired of using $50 rod/ree combo for everything in my tackle box. Looking to get into local bass tournaments. I found a good spinning rod for my plastics and lighter lures and that's as far as I got. I hit a wall when I started putting together the baitcaster rod together. I don't mind spending some money but do not feel like buying a rod for every different lure type. I planned on buying more than one baitcaster. I will be fishing Whopper plopper frog walking stick spinnerbait crankbait chatterbait jerkbait and jig. Which of these lures could I combine and use the same rod?

In a lot of these videos I'm hearing the pros say 25 lb braided line or 65 lb braided line. are they talking about the breaking strength of the braided line being 25 or 65? Or when they say 65 lb braided line are they using a line with 120ish lb breaking strength?

I'm looking to get heavy into spinnerbaits and was wondering what everyone thinks is the top spinnerbait? I'm not looking for the best deal I'm more interested in performance and reliability.

If the water is 20 feet deep, clear, sunny day warm water. How small of a willow blade could you throw on a 5/8 spinnerbait head without it messing with the action of the spinnerbait? Will only going to big on the blade make the spinner lay flat or will going to small do something to the action as well?

Thanks for the input I'll take a look at what you said and try to put something together. Funny I thought spinnerbaits would be the easiest lure to figure out

Thanks again Greg. That's the one I was actually looking at. In the past I've had cheaper spinnerbaits with the blades always stopping

Thanks. Oh I forgot to ask if you were in dirty water is a double Colorado more effective then a single Colorado?. from what I've found the single blade has more vibration but to me it seems everyone is using double blades and not any single blades.
