Pete,

If a size 200 bait cast reel has a normal IPT of 25 inches per turn at full line capacity, then how much could I increase the IPT by spooling heavier line like #20 or #25 lb test?
Thanks

Thanks Jason for the response. What are your thoughts if I took a Curado 200I with a 5:5 gear ratio, and spooled it with 20lb line, in a strategy to increase its IPT so that I could benefit from its inherent cranking power in handling fish? Is it still more advantageous for an angler to start with a high speed reel and use heavy line to increase, or has contemporary reels been developed to have strong cranking power regardless of ts inherent gear ratio? Thanks for the help, for context (I have several Curado 200i with multiple gear ratios-Just trying to figure out a way to get both high speed and power)

Thanks,
Chad

Pete,

I hope all is well. I came across a video on youtube about you discussing your setup for fishing finesse jigs. I know for that presentation you use a 7"6 carolina rig rod. My question is, however, do you use the same rod for pitching and flipping Ike's mini flip as well? If not, what do you recommend?

Thanks,

Chad
