additional split ring on lures
which lure s do the rings help with betteraction?
Some guys use additional split rings on suspending jerkbaits. This allows the baits to slowly sink and also causes the lures to suspend nose down. That allows for extra depth and also mimics a dying shad. Check out Mike McClelland's seminars on Jerkbait fishing. Good luck.
Thank you! Would you add any rings on top water baits? if so, which baits...poppers, walkers, chuggers, frogs etc.
VMC makes a nice clip for quickly changing lures, but the bonus is it works phenomenal well on the front of poppers to make them walk much better. Stay away from adding clips on frogs,, small as it is.. it’ll pick up grass
I also remember some pros talking about removing split rings on Lipless Baits and using that VMC or similiar clip.
