Cell Phone to Weigh Fish !!

Guys the time has come and gone to change the way we weigh fish. It now must become catch and release where the fish is caught. There are huge bass tournaments of 100 to 300 boats in one weekend and then a wildcat almost every other day. When I fish for bass I take a picture sometimes weigh big fish but always put them back where I caught them. I am not a member of PETA. Could you pros at our collage please take a look at this? I know on the pro level you do this on TV with a referee in boat.
There should be a way to do this using a cell phone the referee during the tournament would be looking at a big screen Monitor hook up to a computer with 36 picture boxes on-screen when you catch a fish you hit speed dial on phone. There may need to be more than one monitor and more than one referee. Everyone will use the same weighing app on your phone you hit speed dial the computer connects. You take a picture of the fish inside the yellow lines on the phone and it records the weight for your boat and who caught it GPS location time. What do you pros think ?? I am 70 years old and it is a very wise thing for all of us to talk to a biologist that don't have a pocketbook involved this is a real problem on a lot of lakes. The bass fish needs our help!

Douglas,
I think most anglers are interested in conservation efforts and ensuring that gamefish thrive in the future. MLF is probably the most prominent live & nearly immediate release tournament series, but there are guys doing it at the local level (though I've not competed in one of these tournaments and am not exactly sure how it works for smaller weekend events). That being said, we have come a long way in fish care, even with 5 fish limit tournaments. Everything we can do is certainly a step to ensuring a bass-rich future, so we should never stop looking for ways to improve. Bass University applauds every effort to decrease the mortality rate of bass tournaments of all types.

Thank You very much. My number one issue is catching bass on the bed and hauling them to weigh -in this kills the spawn. We need to weigh and release the bass as soon as we can from the boat. I know Bass Pro Shop can invest in tech to do this it would save a lot of fish . I love bass University and all the staff !
