Curious what everyone’s line choice is for crank baits

The consensus is certainly flurocarbon amongst the pros.

I use 10lb Berkley Vanish fluorocarbon on all my cranking setups (shallow to deep and by deep I mean 20ft +). Is that the gospel, absolutely not, take it for what it’s worth. I have friends that throw 8lb to 15lb mono, and they catch plenty of bass on crank baits. Never really heard of anyone using braid on a cranking setup, but it’ll work. With all of that being said, I catch more bass than my friends with my cranking setup (could be luck, could be skill), but I believe it’s all in my line choice. My lure dives quickly to the intended depth, I feel bottom better and my lure stays in the strike zone longer. I believe I owe that to the 10lb fluorocarbon that I use. I’m actually not a fan of fluoro on anything else but a cranking setup. Take my advice as a grain of salt, but hopefully this will kind of give you some guidance or some ideas to toss around.

All my crankbaits run 20 or 30 lb braid. Especially when im ripping out of grass or fishing over the top of it
