South Alabama/ Tensaw river tips

Jake - junior

I have been fishing tournaments on The Tensaw river and running up to the Alabama river all the way to the first lock and dam on the river in south Alabama. I have been stumped, its a big wide river. i have been fishing the very few creek mouths it has as well as wing dams and outside bends with structure, current breaks, and eddies. I may get lucky and catch a few fish and when i do, they never really have any size. Any tips or tricks to get me pointed in the right direction? Thanks!

Hi Jake, I have fished the Tensaw River down in Mobile. The fish are really concentrated down in the delta where the salt water meets the fresh. My experience up river was similar to yours. I found fish in the oxbows and back water off the main river. I have provided you with three amazing river seminars below from three of the best, Bill Lowen, Mike McClellend and Ott Defoe.

Tensaw is a tricky river.. I'm with Jake. I would love if there was a chance you guys could hit on that river. Any tips for Fall transition / Fall ?
