I remember watching Elite tournaments where a heavier, fast-falling jig or Texas rig was key in getting fish to bite. Can someone tell me what time of year this works best? I can’t seem to find the tournaments I watched in the past where using a 3/4-1oz jig or Texas rig was key. I’m thinking maybe post spawn but not sure. Thanks

That’s the tournament I had in mind Derek. Thanks. I knew it was Greg Hackney but couldn’t find it. I also remember watching Dustin Connell win an elite event on Ross Barnett using a 3/4-1oz Texas rig during the post spawn. It seemed the fast fall was key. Something I need to remember when I compete in any post spawn tournaments in the future.
