Hey Everyone,

I have been watching bass at my local lake cruise together in the shallows lately, and it appears they are just chasing baitfish (not sure what kind). However, they will patrol the shoreline sometimes in 1ft of water, and then bust on the baitfish all the way up to the bank (sometimes you can see their tails as they turn back toward deeper water. I have attempted to catch a few of these guys, or if anything just observe them in hopes of learning. However, these Bass do not want anything to do with me or any lure I put in front of them, as it seems they are hyper focused on trailing these baitfish all day. So, my questions for you are: Have you experienced this? Is this normal behavior in early summer? Should I even be bothering with bass who exhibit this type of behavior?

Take Care,
Nick

I switched from the Palomar knot to the improved clinch knot and have seen an improvement. I would give that a try, and also you could run some cotton swabs between your guides to see if there are any sharp edges.
