Louis Beason : Fishing Forum Posts

Since I was 5 years old, watching guys like Bill Dance, Roland Martin, Jimmy Houston, et al, I've wanted to be a pro fisherman. Unfortunately life and lack of access and money got in the way. Now at 48 I'm finally in a place in my life where i can seriously fish. I finally got a boat last year and fish at least one day a week (usually more) as work and weather allow. I've learned a lot and gotten much better as a fisherman. My question is, is it too late to seriously pursue that dream? I see all the guys like Swindle, KVD, etc that are my age and at the top of their game and been there for many years. Is it too late to break into the upper levels of competitive fishing when you're pushing (or past) 50?
