Suspended jerk bait fishing

Suspended jerk bait fishing Video by KVD was a lot of great information but once again with a lot of jerk bait videos no one talks about detecting the strike. I have been trying to better myself was suspending jerk baits and still haven’t conquered it yet. Hoping to find out information it’ll tell me what I’m doing wrong since When you work the jerk bait you’re throwing slack line back at the bait do you just watch for the line to take off after a fish strikes?

In my experience, the strike occurs more often than not when the bait is completely still. Unless your running hi-viz braid to a fluro leader it will be difficult to see the strike on straight fluorocarbon or mono unless the bass just hammers the lure. After an undetected strike on the next set of imparted twitches if you feel any resistance or change from your previous twitches your either hung up or the fish has the lure. Either way, tighten your line and impart another twitch if your hung this will free up the lure, if your bit work the fish in. Hope this helps!
