Guntersville in March/April

I'm going to make the trip from Northern NY, Lake Champlain, to Guntersville AL at the end of March into the first week of April. I really don't want to bring everything. Can anyone give me an idea of what tackle is good that time of year down there? I have pretty much everything I'm just trying to narrow it down.
