Coosa river spotted bass in the winter

Looking to catch better spots in the winter time. I catch a fair amount of smaller spots. Any tips on keying in on a bigger bite?

Easier to catch early in the am before the sun gets up. Depends on the conditions shakey head works ,crank baits work, topwater works some days. Better in the main river in current seams. Single bladed willow leaf works. Also they will eat a Tokyo rig with a baby. Zoom z craw reeled on the bottom in the current I use 3/4 ounce weight
