Summertime Night Fishing

What are some of the biggest keys to successfully finding and landing largemouth in the middle of the night? Preferably cover from dusk to daylight.

Question comes from Dalton of Franklin, TN.

I was just going to post on this and noticed this post . I found only one video from ish Monroe where he says the word night once but doesn’t go into detail, so some more content would be great.

I use green LED lights around the bumper on the boat. It doesn't seem to attract bugs as much. Otherwise, I catch a most of my nighttime bass in/near traditional summer places. Often on top of shallow humps/points near deep water. I tend to fish more power fishing techniques at night, particularly crankbaits and buzzbaits, especially at dusk or right after dark. Don't be afraid to use finesse techniques though, particularly if you're still marking fish in deeper water. I've caught many bass at night in 20ft+ using finesse techniques (particularly dropshotting). I've had success fishing bridge pilings as well. My favorite spot to fish at night in the summer on Lake Norman is a deep secondary point where two creeks come together.

Used to catch them on spinnerbaits and jigs. Still works but much more efficient using a chatterbait.
