I’m trying to learn to skip baits and having a terrible time. Could you give me pointers and tips on how to set up your reel to accomplish this?

I really enjoy the classrooms. I do have two requests for the future.
1. Have a microphone for the questions or have the instructor repeat. They are hard to hear in some of the classes.
2. When the instructors are passing things around the room, a close up or picture would be nice to see.

In Gerald Swindle’s, always fish a jig, he said he ties a “double shindo” knot on his flourocarbon. Is there anyway to get a diagram of how to tie that knot?

Is there a rod or action that is better for skipping? Also, how about the reel? Is there one that seems to be better or worse? How about line, mono, flouro or braid?

What do the Pro’s do with all their fishing gear when changing sponsors? For example, if sponsored by Abu Garcia and then switched to Lews,etc.

I had an old life jacket made by Omega. It was the full life jacket with 4 large pockets and a collar. It zipped up with the 3 safety straps. I’ve since bought a couple from another company but nowhere near as comfortable and the pockets are smaller. Does anyone have a suggestion as to a replacement?
